Hi,

I am soon going to be getting an intel 600p 256gb ssd, it was part of an offer with my motherboard.

I have looked at some reviews and they didnt say it was that great. But im wondering if anyone else has one and how they find it? I wont be using that ssd for gaming. If I do use it then it will be to run my main OS and general apps. Will I notice it run slow or anything?

I already have purchased a crucial mx300 525gb ssd anyway. I got this a month ago before I purchased my new motherboard and cpu.

If any of you guys were in my shoes then what would you do? Would you just sell this intel p600 off straight away and just use the crucial. Or would you keep the intel ssd.

Thanks

A SSD will prove superior in all aspects to a regular HD regardless of brand and size.

I would keep both and use the smaller one for the OS, and the bigger one for all your programs.

Thanks for the reply :)

So you would keep it even given the not so good reviews for the intel 600p ssd? I was planning on doing it that way as you suggested but just wondering if it is worth using this ssd or not.

Hmm Im hoping to hear back from more people on here before I make my mind up.

Any updates for us?

No update yet. I am still waiting to get this drive, it was part of an offer with my new board.
Anyhow, I am not sure if I will use this ssd as I'm going by the reviews online. I think I may just sell it off.

Plus I can't be bothered setting up a new ssd again, I know I can copy my partition over but just cant be bothered at the moment. Infact I will see how it runs on a friends machine as he ordered the same board so he's due to get the same ssd too. I can let him be the test piggy lol

You can close this off if you like or if you dont mind waiting then I can update my findings in the coming weeks.
