Basically, I'm trying to recover a lost photoshop file but for some reason I don't have a Users file with my PC name. So usually it would say Users>"John Smith's PC"> etc etc. But there is nothing?? I've desperately tried to find a way to recover through so many different methods and I'm losing the will to live.

If you know the file name, or even just the file extension type it into Everything and if it exists on your PC Everything will find it and allow you to access it.
