I don't know what initiated it, I was just using it normally and put it in my bag. After taking it out, I noticed the issues:

• The screen turns on, as if from sleep, but remains black. This lasts for about 4 seconds before it turns off. This then loops.

• Upon attempting to hold the power button, the screen's flashing either becomes irregular or speeds up after a while. I have held the power button for up to a minute and saw that the screen begins to flash faster for a bit every 15 or so seconds.

•The power button lights up when the screen is on, and once very briefly when the screen is off, as if to turn it on.

•This is unaffected by closing the laptop — that is, the process continues even when it is shut.

•Just in case it was merely a screen problem, I plugged it into an external monitor, and unsurprisingly got no video, reinforcing the idea that the laptop is repeatedly restarting.

•I have now opened up the laptop to check if the battery is the issue, turning the laptop on after removing the battery with only the adapter's power, and the issue persisted.

•The fans also do not start moving at all, though I do not know if that is different from normal.

Plugging in the laptop still charges it, and the charging LED comes om accordingly.

From what I can gather, the laptop is perpetually restarting at a constant speed which can be speed up by holding the power button. But I have no clue how to stop it. Could it be a problem with the bios in the ROM or something?

If my laptop is unsalvageable, can I take the ssd and use it in another laptop to keep my files?

I would boot from a Linux Live USB and copy the files from the SSD. This will also test other issues it may have it this fails.

If the drive is not the issue you can pull it and get the files from it but putting it in another PC and booting from it isn't going to work.
