Solved How to get my Inbox Screen back to normal?

Peter, I just took a few. All these connecctions are at the left side only.

The 1st USB (double) connects to a speaker; double because the port was too small.
The 2nd USB goes to the mouse which I keep at the right side.
The 3rd USB goes to my old (preferred) keyboard and it's the longest wire you see.
The 4th USB is for the battery.

If something is confusing I can take another shot if needed.
I'm writing before trying to transfer them from my Android to your site. Never done it before and now will try it. Do I need an email address? Ok, I'll see if the phone gives some steps.

One hell of a laptop

@Adela I agree with Bruce.
Remove keyboard and mouse.
Put laptop in the place it plays up and test
the internet mentioned to cover it with a special type foil paper. Have you maybe heard such thing?
Don't think this will help you

If you don't have enough foil you could try a colander

This is like people who are told to put parts of the computer into the oven - not joking

to double check - test the laptop for a few days with only the power cord connected.

and again, not meaning to teach you how to suck eggs, but Lenovo's have their power socket which looks like a sort of USB port.
a trap for the new kids on the block (hell, even for the not-so-new when I first saw one!)

...and a hell of a laptop it is. It has a history whcih I'll tell you about it at the end if you care. But now I've connected it but since Google took over my pics now there's no place for me to tap or type Copy or any ohterr command except: Sharing, Library, and add it to their album grrrr! I'll try other things, just wanted to let you know I'm sorry it'll take me more time....
P.S. Thanks for the laughs!!!

no rush Adela - I assume the Outlook issue is sorted, and you are sort of using the laptop as you would.
just this stupid, random, crazy input thing happening now!

when you click on a picture, does it take you somewhere you didn't normally go to - like Chrome?
if so, if you bring up File Explorer, find one of these pictures, right click on it and select Open With...
then select Choose another App, select what you used to use, probably Phots, then tick the bottom box "Always use this app" and hit OK.
that will re-establish how you used to via pictures (hopefully).

Bruce, please do teach me "how to suck eggs", I always appreciate comuter advice since I've never been good at it and get lost easily if something doesn't go well. As I told Peter I'm being interferred by Google Photo. I had escaped Google from getting into my cellphone for some years but somehow it found the way and forced its ways into it. I guess that's the price we pay for using it for what and when we want it...

As to Lenovo's laptop "power socket", you may refer to the port for the battery which does look different?

Not sure if I understand your sentence: “Outlook issue is sorted, and you are sort of using the laptop as you would” I like MS Outlook better but since I started the thread in Gmail I’m trying to transfer the pics to my Gmail address (if not to PCHelpFoorum), so I guess MS Outlook is not interfering.

The one interfering - A LOT - is Google! Lol! I’d love to get rid of it and manage my own photos as before, but I read if you get rid of Google Photos you may lose your own photos.

No, clicking on a pic doesn’t take me where I don’t want to go. Chrome is my browser. And if that happens to me, thanks a lot so that I’ll know what to do.

Bruce, as to Lenovo's "Power Socket" again (I missed the Edit time lol!). I looked and found a very small port-like opening at the right hand side of the keyboard all the way up next to the screen on the border. Could it be it??? But what is it FOR? At the last MS update they removed the easy way we had to shut off the computer but I found that pressing on the board the Windows Key with the Power Key, then press on the screen the Power Icon which takes you to shut off, restart, etc. Each time they solve one little thing they produce other larger glitches.

Dear friends, sorry I didn't say "good night" but I was unusually tired last night and fell asleep on the computer chair lol! Today I must leave for most of the day and from Sunday on I'll continue to try all the good instructions you both were so kind to take the time to give me.

I'll be working mainly on the photos without which you can't help. Each time I open the photo icon it takes me to all the photos I don't want now, and there's no way to get to the ones I took of my computer to send you because Google has taken an iron-like attitude that I MUST do what IT wants me to do with my photos.

I just tried to disable the storage where I remember someone had told me she did and worked but...when I did it I was successful until the last step where the evil Google imprisoned me with the link: "TO CONTINUE, ALLOW ACCESS". So....the joke was on me since I can't use my own photos, indeed my own phone, because @y%r& Google likes to play with us at their own kind of a tag of war. I'm very furious and glad that for today I won't have to see Googles name.

I THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH for your great help but I hesitate to ask you to continue giving so generously your time and knowledge, especially since I started with only 1 problem and it now became 2...and with "photos" became 3 and it'll probably happen again that each time I need to make a move, there's an obstacle and it becomes another project.

I wish you and yours an enjoyable weekend! :) Adela

Easy fix for the photos

Are you using Google Photos to view the pictures on your phone?

Open it then select the photos that you want to use

On the bottom slide left or right and select Backup

Once completed open google.com in a browser on the computer

Log into the same google account that is used on your phone.

Once signed in click the 9 dots and select Photo.

Unless you are in the wrong account the pictures will be there.

Any issues or error message need to be poste here.

First of all apologize for the long lapse in not coming to the site to answer your greazt help as I'm having some emergencies. I still do but I can take little escapades lol!.
To Peter: Thanks for explaining what that hole looked like. Also, I didnt' have a chance yet to try the laptop without using my own keyboard and mouse, but will as soon as I can and will report to you. :)
