Hello all and thank you for taking your time to provide me with some advice and information.I just want to know if there are any ways I can get the most out of my computer so I can run games at a good fps with no dips. Any programs, software useful tips and tricks in speeding up the performance of my computer. I play fortnite competitively and I understand my computer needs upgrades but while I am saving for these I still would like to know if you guys know any cool ideas to speed my current rig up. Now, while I do know little to nothing about computers, I do feel as though my CPU is the main cause of my FPS drops. Again thanks in advance for helping and muchly appreciated.

Welcome to PCHF AfterShock,

Any programs, software useful tips and tricks in speeding up the performance of my computer.

System tweaking programs are at best a gimmick and at worst a danger to the operating system on a computer, specs that are appropriate for any game that you intend to play and plenty of free storage space on the storage device are the two main things to consider, online gaming has the added burden of needing a top notch internet service as well.

Please provide information about your computer, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the MB, the RAM (including the amount) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable us to better assist you.
