Have come across an annoying problem which staretd today, although BING is my home page,Firefox my Browser. When I open to Bing, which it does,as soon as I make an entry and press serach, the page reverts to Google serach??
I have no Google apps in my pc or any connection with Google,so is there any way I can get rid of it and allow Bing to do my searching as usual Thanks

when you type something in Firefox, where are you typing - in the Bing search bar or at the top in the address bar?
do you have any FF add-ons?
in your FF settings, what is your default search engine?

99% of time type in bing search hardly ever in the https;/ bar.
Nothing in FF add ons.........but once again solved my own dilemma discovered a cross connection(took some finding) to an unknown site within FF,restored that to Bing, carried out malware check discovered a number of malware sites now all deleted.Im normally very carefull when adding sites etc that thier add ons do not end up as mine, but in this case there is the posibilty that one slipped through! Thanks for your assitance

We are always happy to help when we can but we cannot safely do so if you are already receiving assistance on any other forum, doing so may lead to confusion as to whose and what guidance you are following which can be both dangerous and costly, decide on which forum you wish to continue and as a courtesy let the other/s know that assistance is no longer required.

Thank you for your understanding.

Apart from the risk of potential conflicting guidance being offered there is also the rather annoying habit that many folk seem to think as being ok, starting and abandoning threads on one or more forums, our help is free but all feedback from members is valuable, something that is explained in red in my sig.

Back to your computer problem, the use of malware removal tools has been suggested at your Major Geeks thread which means that your thread here will need to be checked by a security expert and the thread possibly moved to the malware removal forums.

OK point taken, guess I was too flippant for the occasion. But just occasionally we also feel we are leaning on you guys too much, and attempt to give you a reat from what is just another cog in the log.But I do understand where you are coming from, and having already offered both my apologies and allegiance I dont see what else I can possiblly do.....at least I havent doen a runner,I have replied and stood tall so lets take it as being read, understood, and as you pointed out,let you know problem solved!
