K, will head over to your other thread when I get back from work later on today, being that you will also be purchasing a new PSU as part of the upgrade you can always come back and test this MB with it first.

Sorry for the delay I didn't see the last comment and was caught up in the other thread. Here is the update from the other thread:
Just an update for you guys that have helped me soo much over this while ordeal... I got the PSU today and connected everything up and now the pc will power up which is an improvement lol
Taking the video card out seems to have solved the display problem and so now I imagine that it is just the video card that will need replacing to restore multiple displays :)

No worries, we like to check back when a thread goes quiet in case folk have missed a reply etc.

If you have video from the MBs graphic chip with the add on card removed but no video from the add on card when only connected to that it does suggest that the add on video card has failed.

Edit to add: Did you ever try the add on video card in the second PCI-E slot.

Yeah it seems to be that even when I don't connect to the video card if it is attached to the mb then there is no video.
I must admitt I haven't tried the other slot. Will try a bit later today :)

Yeah it seems to be that even when I don't connect to the video card if it is attached to the mb then there is no video.
That is normal behaviour, when the BIOS detects the presence of an add on video card be it working or not the MBs integrated graphics are disabled by default, this can only be changed on certain MBs that have certain CPUs, in your case the i5-3570k CPU has HD 4000 graphics but for this to also work alongside an add on GPU your MB must allow you to set the primary video as Intel integrated + integrated video always enabled.

That makes sense I suppose cheers :)
As for trying the video card in the other slot, it worked for a while but then the displays cut out like they did before. I assume that this all but confirms the video card is done with :(

Running the computer for a prolonged period using only the MBs video ports will help confirm it but only having your present video card tested elsewhere can confirm it to be 100% bad I`m afraid.

Well since I have taking the video card out and am just using the mb I haven't had any issues at all, some games run a little laggy but that was the purpose of the video card in the first place so that makes sense anyway.

Apologies for the delay...
Got the new psu and now the add on video card :)
Was almost a disaster as the video card only just fits in the pc but I got it in there lol stupidly though I have the wrong dvi adapter and so I have one perfectly working screen but am waiting on the adapter to test both though I suspect given the lack of issues with one display that it should be able to handle it :)

So hopefully this saga has ended and I can thank you all for all the help though I will confirm likely the end of the week once I get the adapter :)

Had an issue with the dvi adapter not working so still no two screens but am confident that it is all sorted now so thanks again for all the help... would likely have just replaced everything near enough if you guys weren't there lol
