I thought this pc could run fortnite but I can’t even open the app. What’s going on? Does it have a graphics card at all or missing ram? I don’t much about pc yet so please help me because I have to pay for shipping return and I’m trying to avoid that.

This will provide us with the needed information. Probabley also came with a 250-300 Watt power supply which would not power a Display Card.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

@Evan Omo is more into gaming systems from what I can see unless you are wanting to spend more money on upgrading the power supply and to a video card that will work in that system I would ship it back. Some of the older systems for Dell are proprietary and you can only use Dell parts.

Personally I would suggest to save you money and get a decent gaming system.

Does it show an error message when you attempt to open that app?

No there is no video card it is built onto the motherboard.

says something about "dx11 features level 10.0 required to run this engine"
how would the power supply help? I tried other online games and most of them are laggy. If replacing those two things will help, can you recommend me any? I don't want to buy something that wont be compatible with my system that's why I bought a prebuilt to customize it later on.

@phillpower2 can assist with picking out the power supply and that is if there is one that will fit that small for case.

The system you got is going to be limited to sizes that can be place inside and as I have stated before Dell uses a lot of proprietary parts.

That system is not really a gaming system it was designed for office work. Just because the system matches the specification you want does not mean that it will always do and or preform the way you want it to.

The Dell OptiPlex 790 was available in four case sizes, Desktop, Mid Tower, Small Form Factor (SFF) and Utra Small Form Factor, which one do you have.

I really can’t tell, could this ss help? Please reply ASAP because they want to charge me for the return shipping and I would really like to know if I can upgrade this any further to at least support fortnite

Hi Tokio. You bought a small form factor Dell PC which is not suitable for gaming as the power supply is very limited due to its small size and the actual room in the computer case is very small. I would return that PC and get a regular mid sized desktop PC.

If you need assistance with buying a PC let us know and we can pick out a good gaming PC for your needs depending on your budget.
