I have a HP laptop - that has encountered a blue screen on startup

BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO

Its been going around the automatic repair loop - almost seems to be stuck in a perpetual loop
Automatic repar and Diagnosing doesnt repair
Went onto the command line and ran a chkdsk /r and all was ok
Tried a safeboot -- but that just pushes me back to the automatic repair loop
Tried a Reset PC - And it stalls with this - there was a problem resetting your pc no changes were made

Alas Im currently stuck trying to reboot. Any help much appreciated

most likely will be the hard drive.
what is make/model of laptop?
and age?

sometimes when they are bad enough not to boot, they may still be able to be put into an external enclosure for data recovery. so you do a chance, but it may be slim.
that's why backups are important.
all storage mediums die eventually.

may be worth trying the external box option first as one way forward would be to reformat the drive to try to get it working again, but of course, you'd lose your data.
either way, going forward, I'd have no confidence in the drive and would be replacing it regardless.
