Replaced motherboard, hooked up and then nothing. Black screen, everything appears to be running, but no signal to monitor. Replace processor (...and upgrade), still the same. Return motherboard and get a different one think8ng maybe it was faulty. (Current one) and you guessed it, same issue.

Motherboard: Asus z590 plus wifi
Processor: intel i7
Ddr4 ram
Newer corsair battery 750

Even with minimal cpu, 1 ram stick, ssd, graphics card(and no graphics card), still black screen, no signal. Lights turn on, fans are going, you can hear stuff going, but nothing. Just the abyss and no signal. Checked cables, checked ram position.

Ive tried different monitors, resetting bios, nothing.

This isnt the first time ive built a computer and not even the first time ive had this issue but its been a long time. At a loss of what to try

Hi Codedlemon
How are you connecting your monitor HDMI, Display Port
This from Asus

1 x DisplayPort 1.4**
1 x HDMITM 2.0***
* Graphics specifications may vary between CPU types.
** Intel® 11th & 10th processors support DisplayPort 1.4 with max. resolution of 4096 x 2304 @60Hz. Please refer to www.intel.com for any updates.
*** Only Intel® 11th processors, support HDMI™ 2.0 with max. resolution of 4K@60Hz, others would only support HDMI™ 1.4 with max. resolution of 4K@30Hz .Please refer to www.intel.com for any update.
**** VGA resolution support depends on processors' or graphic cards' resolution.

Can you give more information about your CPU and RAM or Look Here
Is your cpu and ram on the list.
Do you hear any beeps on startup?

Cheers

Also do any of the lights on the motherboard stay on ?

Ram is plugged into A1, i am using hdmi. But have tried dvi as well. I also tried vga but with an adapter to go to hdmi. Ill try a display port and see.

None of the qleds are lighting up at all

From the moment you turn on no LEDS flash on ?
Newer corsair battery 750
Do you mean power supply?

Can you pull everything-Video card,Ram and any other cards..
Just leave the CPU & CPU fan power up. You should get some beeping.
On the main board power supply are you using the 4 pin or 8 pin for the CPU power ?

Can you give me your CPU and Ram info or can you look in the list - I posted a link above in post # 2
To make sure they are compatible.

Yes, power supply ‍♀️

No beeps, no lights, only the decorative lights around the board. Cpu fan spins. No qleds ever light up, at all.

Processor is intel i7 (10700k)

Ram is ddr4, there is a 4th stick not in the picture and pair to the green.

Good news your CPU is listed for the motherboard. The ram is not listed BUT I do not think that is the issue.
Back to the start.
1) Did you put the standoffs under the motherboard - If not could be a short.
2) Remove motherboard from case and put on a piece of cardboard. With only the cpu and the cpu fan connected power on (Remove all cards, ram and lights etc)
The motherboard has a start button next to the 24 pin power connector so you do not need to connect it to the case.
Do you get any beeps or QLED lights .
If nothing
3) Remove cpu and reseat - test as above.
Is the cpu sitting correctly - did you remove plastic cover - Have seen this happen before.
4) Did you take precautions with anti static wrist band OR earthing yourself before touching anything

Ram is plugged into A1

When trying only the one stick of RAM it must be inserted in DIMM slot A2 which is the second one away from the CPU.

Yes, power supply ‍♀️

Can we have the exact model name or number of the Corsair PSU, did you get this PSU out of the box new.

No beeps,

To save the manufacturers a couple of pennies on each MB most boards do not ship with a BIOS error speaker, have you either confirmed that there is such a speaker on the board or have you retro fitted one as is shown in the attachment below.

Processor is intel i7 (10700k)

Are you 100% certain that you have the k version and not the kf version, this is important we know as one version has on die video while the other one does not.

Also tried both the 8 pin for the cpu and 8 &4

Only the 8 pin needs to be connected, the 4 pin is for when there is a high end GPU present that may need the extra power, the connector must also be the dedicated 8 pin EPS or 4+4 pin type, a 6+2 pin connector should not be used.

In addition to the above, make sure that you have a wired keyboard connected to the PS/2 type port your board is the 50/50 type for both a kb or mouse, no mouse is required to be able to boot but connecting a kb is a must.
