I have left an attachment of the sound below, never seen this before, this happens even when mic is not plugged in and when I try use any recording or any min requiring software, I have tried a reinstall of windows 10 professional

I have updated all drivers, and tried switching different setting, nothing works

started after I unplugged my line adapter that I used for my built in mic in my headset

tried re plugging it and doing the same thing I did first time when it was working but nothing works anymore, this also happens weather or not I use a separate mic and plug it into any of the two mic ports on the pc

specs:
windows 10 professional
8gb ddr4 ram
GTX 1650
MSI b450m pro-VDH MAX
Ryzen 5 3600
125gb ssd + 1T toshiba hdd
running on ethernet

This seems to be a growing problem on various forums. Headset/headphones with built-in mic no longer work.
It doesn’t matter if there’s an adapter of some sort being used or not.
No solutions so far have been forthcoming.

Im going to begin looking further into this, maybe we can find a solution for the rest of us with this problem

from what I can think of after the mic stopped, my card reader began working again, but I replaced it later on with a new one and still has same issue

Hi, I have been stuck with a broken mic mixer for a year now and no matter how hard I tried, nothing fixed it and it just kept making fuzzing noises or repeating pc noises,
I have tried switching it to non sterio mix but nothing worked,

I now have found the solution,

step 1. unplug everything from you're pc
step 2. take it somewhere to completely de-dust it
step 3. set psu to off position and hold down power button for 10 seconds to discharge the pc
step 4. open it up and reset the cmos battery but putting it in pside down and waiting for around 10 seconds and putting it back in normally
step 5. plug everything in, including the headphone adapter and start youre computer with the automatic boot option
step 6. now plug youre mic / headset in and test it out.

(this only works for one certain mic problem on pc and will most likely not work on other issues, although worth a shot, cemos clear helps things a lot.
