Hey everyone!!
New here.
So recently I noticed I am no longer able to use my surround sound system for game and system sounds while using my headset for just running party chat in discord. I have tried turning on and off my sound card. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows today. Ive followed every youtube and google search that i can find. My drivers are all up to date. So I am pretty stumped.
So I have an 3.5mm audio to left and right RCA cable coming out of the rear port to my surround system. I have my head set plugged into the front port. When both are plugged in at the same time now all sounds from discord and my pc just come through to my head set. when i unplug it everything comes through my speakers. When I go into the sound settings the only other option I am able to find is to run the party chat sound out of the internal speaker in my desktop tower and everything comes out of my surround sound.
I had things working properly before but now im completely stumped.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
