do you have anything plugged into the pcie ports - black ones
No. But are they PCIE? They seem too long.

the long blacks are PCIe x 16.
the short blacks are PCIe x 1.
the whites are PCI.

the Amazon link from Peter would be a good way to go.
not sure of the bottlenecking if 4 SATA devices are connected on that one PCIe x 1 bus lane.
would be better than USB2 external connections, and probably better than USB3 speeds.
