Headset problems...

I've been having problems with my headset recently...
Sorry I'm not the best with this stuff so sorry if I have bad terminology lol

I have a Logitech G Pro Gaming Headset and have been having problems with the sound and microphone.

It comes with a splitter, one for microphone and one for headphones, and I plug them into the front of my PC case, I cannot access the back.
However, when i plug in the headphone lead into the hole on the case for the headphones, sound only comes out of the left ear.
If I slightly unplug the wire from the main headset then i can hear out of both, but then the microphone doesn't work.
I cannot play with it only coming out of one ear because it really messes with my head.
It could be a problem with the case and how it is taking connection or it could be a software thing or a problem with the headset, I don't really know and that's why I need help.

sounds like a lose connection either with the case port or with the headset jack itself.
why can't you access the back ports - that would really prove the point if you could plug them into those ports.

I got into the back ports and it worked fine. But i cannot access the back ports every time I want to use them
Is there any easy way to fix it or do i need a new case/headset
 
if they worked in the back ports without any jiggling of the headset cable, chances are it's the front ports.
pretty common as they get kicked and knocked a lot while there are USB or audio cables in the ports.
I've seen plenty of mashed up USB ports with pins all over the place, causing shorts and generally no longer functional.

not sure what case you have, not that it really matters as I've never seen the audio ports that could be replaced, they are moulded into the plastic.
if it's a big issue, I reckon you're up for a new case, if so, consider getting one where the USB and audio ports are on the top.
