Solved Hard to explain wifi problem?

Not open for further replies.
I've searched and searched the internet, trying to find different ways to word this, but I haven't found a single solution. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my computer or with the wifi.
I have this problem with my Wifi, it's an apartment wifi, so that may explain the crappiness of it, but this problem is happening 24/7, even when I'm up late at night.
I have a problem where even though my Wifi is connected, I have a problem where it cuts out about 1-2 seconds every 10 seconds or so, but when I'm playing games, this means the world to me, I have to deal with the frustration of constantly having my character stop in the middle of the game and ended up getting head-shotted because I can't move my character because of this darn wifi. I'm wondering if there is any fix for it or if it's even fixable.

How long has this been going on?

Has it ever worked correctly?

Include more about your system?

Desktop and or Laptop?

USB or Built in Connection?

Are any other devices that are connected experiencing this?

Only during games and or browsing the Internet as well? Are you streaming at the game and or recording the game? Is it the internet cutting out or the system having issues since it may be over loaded?

What games does this happen on?

What have you tried and what was the out come?

In the mean time go through this resource and see if it helps.
How To Speed Up Your Internet Connection.

and....
is there an option to cable (via cat5) straight to the modem/router?
is that box in your apartment?
has the modem/router been rebooted recently? - sometime they need to be once, say, every month.

years ago, I used to see this 'every 10 seconds' thing back when a phone handset used to 'talk back' to its base station, the internet line used to go down, so while not exactly your issue, have you tried an isolation test - that is, have nothing else connected but your PC?

but yeah, describe your network setup in more detail....
