Hard drive has gone missing from Disk Management

I recently reinstalled Windows 10, but this time I did it from the USB stick rather than just through the existing Windows 10 installation.
When I looked at my computer drives in Windows, my D: drive was missing.
So I opened up Disc Management, expecting it perhaps to need reformatting, but it's not even showing there.

It's a 1TB Seagate hard drive (not SSD) connected via cables, and I haven't touched those cables.
It's been working for 2 years no problem.
It has some files on it which I would like to recover.

From my websearches, I found that changing the bootup disc order can cause this issue.
And I did change the bootup disc order so the USB would be first.
But I can't find a way to reset the bootup disc order back to defaults.
I have tried shuffling them around in Bios but can't get my D: drive to show up.

Interestingly, when I use bleachbit to clean free hard drive space, it detects there is a D: drive but comes up with an error
that it cannot access it.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
I just tried Chkdsk D: and got this error:
chkdsk cannot open volume for direct access

So from what I have read, the DBR (DOS Boot Record) of the hard drive is corrupted.

Is this true?
Can anything be done to repair it?
 
Post the make and model of both drives that are currently in the system.

Is the drive showing in BIOS and post a complete screen shot of Disk Management?

Could be the fact that the drive was originally parted into two separate drive and when you did the fresh install of Windows wiped everything and created one drive.
