Hard Drive Data Recovery Question

Not open for further replies.
I have an ACER Aspire 7741 series (2011) Windows 7 Laptop and something heavy dropped on to the keyboard. Since then the data on the hard drive is very slow to load and sometimes doesn't even load at all, it struggles. The desktop icons all appear when I power on so I thought the hard Drive must be working. Maybe the motherboard or cpu is damage.

I removed the WesternDigital 320GB drive from the laptop and now want to see if I can access the files using a recovery kit.

Can anyone recommend a quick and easy way to transfer the files over to another PC. My other 2 laptops are Windows 10. Plus an old Sony desktop which is windows XP not connected to the internet.

Any help on this would be really appreciated.

Thanks

If you just want to get files off the removed hard drive you can use a dock like this which works with 2.5 and 3.5 hard drives with either IDE or sata connectors. It works through USB.
