Solved GTX1660 crashing since new CPU and MOBO upgrade

Hi guys. Yesterday I have upgraded some of my pc's spec. I was running an older Gigabyte Z170 with a i5-6500 Skylake. I have now changed over to Asus BF450F-Gaming with a Ryzen 5 3600XT, but since the upgrade I have been getting tons of problems. So once I have put everything together, installed all the new drivers etc I was excited to play a new game. First error was ''graphics driver has hung, changing graphics to low''... tried it a few more times and it was happening over and over again. Tried a different game, and then I had an error saying that a D3D device have been removed. I literally cannot play any game as I am getting crashes all the time. I've reinstalled all the drivers, tried installing older ones to see if the problem was fixed. Made sure my new mobo and cpu drivers were up to date, and even updated my bios. Nothing of these has fixed the problem, and to add more now I cannot even get display through displayport no more, I can only use HDMI. PLEASE someone help me before I have to put my old stuff back in :(

Hello gassperuk,

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Thanks! I've run speccy now and here it is: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/NLUogNi1zjSyglkSMLoA4eg

Couple of things of note;

You have a mismatch of RAM that is running way too slow for a Ryzen CPU, some are ok with 2666MHz but most demand 3200MHz as does yours, your present RAM will only run as fast as the slowest spec that you have which is 2400MHz which means that even if you are able to get the system to run you will have a terrible bottleneck

RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz (15-15-15-36) This is only 2132MHz when allowing for dual channel which is well short of the required 3200MHz.

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 10/09/2020 17:57:47

The installation date suggests that Windows was installed on a different MB than the Asus BF450F-Gaming board, two reasons that you cannot do this, Windows will load the drivers for the old MB and the Windows licence key is tied to the original MB and the Microsoft servers will detect this and lock you out of updates and put an unlicensed copy of Windows warning on the desktop.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as I have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.
