Green background problem

Hello everyone,
I bought a new laptop today for school. It is an Acer Aspire 5.
It has no disc reader so I used an USB cd/dvd reader to install a program to use my printer.
After everything was installed I wanted to eject the USB but couldnt find it with the "eject safely button". So I just unplugged it.
After a few seconds my background turned green. The weird thing was that only my wallpaper disappeared and turned greenish. My icons, toolbar, websites,... stayed the same. Everything worked.
I restarted it and after a few updates it went back to normal and then went back to green.
I thought maybe if I change my wallpaper, the green background would go away. I did that and for the moment my screen went never green again.
I did a scan to see if I didn't damage my laptop. Apparently everything is fine. But I'm still worried. It was very expensive for me to buy and I would hate myself if anything happened to it. Especially the first day I got it.
Do you guys know if my laptop is still ok? Do you know what kind of problem it was? Will I have problems with it in the future?
Thanks to everyone willing to help!

Use the “Shift + Restart” combination. Another way of getting into Safe Mode in Windows 10 is to use the Shift + Restart combination. Open the Start menu and click or tap on the Power button. Then, while keeping the Shift key pressed, click or tap on Restart.

From there follow the prompts for a system restore.
