Solved GPU Help

I bought a GTX 1650 from Amazon but when I install it I get no signal from the monitor.

I get no signal, hear one beep from my PC every so often, my keyboard is working (as in I can see the cap lock lighting up when I press it), my PC has light up, PC and GPU fans are spinning.

I have definitely installed it right, I hear the click when I place it in the PCi slot and it's stays firmly in place.

I am putting the HDMI cable in the GPU not mobo, also tried a VGA cable, neither work.

I've once booted it up with the GPU installed after switching to IGP from the bios menu but the PC doesn't recognise the GPU when I do this (I thought this meant the card was dead but it does the same with my old GPU which I know works.)

I'd appreciate all feedback, I bought it a month back and haven't been able to get it to work since I've purchased it. Thanks.

What is the make and model of the power supply?
It says on it "ATX 500-B" 500w.

It doesn't have a 6or8 pin connection on the psu but the gpu doesn't need one anyway. This is the GPU - https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/gigabyte-gtx-1650-mini-itx-oc.b6919

I think I may have found the problem, would you be able to tell me if I'm right. I don't know much about PCs.

My motherboard is lenovo M81 and I found this site that comes up with compatible motherboards for the GPU and the M81 isn't on there.

Am I correct in thinking this is the problem? I appreciate the replies.

If you have onboard video REMOVE the gpu from your pc, plug the monitor cable into the motherboard video and reboot. Does it now have video?
Yes I have video with no GPU in it.

Would you be able to look at my post above and tell me if what I've listed is the problem incase nobody has replied before you see this, thanks for the replies.
