I need help with choosing air cooler for Ryzen x58003d CPU. I'm upgrading form ryzen 3600 and gtx 1060 to Ryzen x58003d and rx 6700xt hellhound. My current case and cooler are SilentiumPC Fortis 3 140mm and SilentiumPC Signum SG1 TG Pure Black. Cooler is already max height I can fit in the case as it has like 1-2mm clearance from side panel. Does x58003d really run as hot as people say? What cooler could I fit in my case to handle it?
Another thing is that my PSU is Seasonic Focus GX 650W 80 Plus Gold. Will it be enough?
Do I really need beefy ~100$ cooler and there is no point in mounting SilentiumPC Fortis 3 140mm? Parts are already here but it'll be my first time changing coolers and applying thermal paste myself, so juggling different coolers to check them out isn't really an option. I know that it's silly to overspend on cpu and stick cheapo cooler on top of it, but I've already overstretched my budget as x58003d is supposed to excel in my use case
I play mostly cpu heavy simulations and x4 strategy games like dwarf fortress, Stellaris, Rim World, Cities Skylines or Anno to just name a couple. I would rather not downgrade CPU as it is supposed to shine in those scenarios.
