If Google wants to discontinue support for an Android version, for example, Android 6.0, do they need to discontinue versions lower then 6.0 first such as 4.1, 4.1.1 & 5.0 or could they just discontinue 6.0 right away?

Hello Eddie

It usually happens with a phased out system from what i have noticed. Like the 4.1's thru 5.0 versions any major app's are not supported in those, thru a phased out system.
