Gmail not working after last update

I'll have to try calling her and asking. I know she doesn't use 2 factor and she's never mentioned any
error messages but I'll verify.

As far as I know she goes straight to gmail, I don't believe there's any email client involved, but I'll
verify that, too.

ASUS Vivobook F510UA won't start.

Win 10. Unit is 18 months old. Battery or HD? My friend knows virtually nothing about computers. Thanks for any suggestions.

Would be best to get corrected first could be the reason that they are not able to access. Since the system is new would also be best to make a warranty claim before (if there is any) the warranty run out.

Yes, that's her machine. The gmail stopped working just after the latest Win 10 update.
The problem with the machine not starting occurred about two weeks after that.
I'm trying to research that problem, also.
