Getting multiple BSOD while playing apex legends

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hi I've been having multiple BSOD issues while playing apex , I've no clue why it just happened out of the blue one day , I don't recall updating anything nor did I touch anything inside my pc before it happened. So far I remember getting win32kfull.sys system service exception, nvlddmkm.sys driver irql not less or equal, intelppm.sys driver irql not less or equal.

It's only happened while I'm playing apex and not games like CSGO or valorant so I'm not entirely sure why. I've formatted my pc twice, once keeping files and the 2nd time just removing everything completely.

System specs:
Windows 10

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900KS CPU @ 4.00GHz
GPU: ZOTAC RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB GDDR6
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz
MOTHERBOARD: ASROCK Z390 Phantom Gaming 4

Your dmps generated today include the following causes, Nvidea GPU drivers, memory corruption, hardware which is most likely related to the memory corruption crash and the first one was caused by the Apex games launcher and namely rSapex.exe

Before we go to the trouble of debugging what is in the second folder are they the same as those in the first folder or from some other time, reason we ask is because the dates and file compression size are the exact same size.

The 2nd folder has the same contents of the 1st folder thats my bad

No problem, second folder deleted (y)

Suggest that for now you do not try and play Apex while we do our troubleshooting and checks.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

The psu is FSP 650W HYDRO 80+ GOLD

An ok PSU when first released back in 2015 but if yours is that old it is out of warranty, could be showing signs of its age and should not be used anywhere near such a high end GPU.

Speccy is not highlighting any hardware issues but Windows is over a year behind in major updates any of which may be the hotfix that you need, until you are fully up to date by having version 20H2 installed and also up to date you are wasting your time troubleshooting.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 3/6/2021

There are no chipset drivers for the MB shown to have been installed, as soon as Windows has been installed you must install the latest chipset drivers for the MB as the chipset is what enables the board to be able to communicate with all the other hardware, after the chipset drivers you install the storage/SATA drivers and then the GPU drivers.

Sorry been busy, I used driver easy to update all my drivers, realised what you said was correct on how windows doesn't just update it to the most recent update which is the 20H2 unless your software/drives have all also been updated to the most recent . I'll take note of the PSU being outdated for my pc specs maybe I'll get a new one sooner or later unless you would recommend me to get a new one ASAP. I'm not sure if I downloaded the correct drivers for the chipset, but it did state that I had to update a driver which had the word chipset on it so I'm guessing its fixed haha. I haven't gotten around to testing if it still blue screens on me, I'll keep you posted once ive done it.

Thanks for getting back to us, we cannot leave threads open indefinitely and for the following reason/s, forum procedure is to ask for an update when a thread remains unanswered for three days, if still no answer after a further two days a second update request is post along with notice that the thread will be closed if not replied to within 48hrs, we have to have such a procedure to keep the forums in order as some folk will start threads on five or six forums and then abandon all but one of them.

Guidance on this was offered in my reply #6.

If we don`t hear back from you by Thursday/Friday we will take it that you no longer need assistance and will mark and close the thread.

nevermind, caused my whole pc to force reboot, black screen mid game and just restarted the whole pc. Let me know if this is worth looking at cause i think this is already out of hand

Previous two crashes were related to Apex with one also flagging Nvidea drivers, the latest crash was caused by anti cheat driver/s vgk.sys which in itself is odd as all the info that I can find says that this type of crash is related to the game Valorant by Riot Games, is this something that you have on your PC.

yes, also I've found that my hid compliant headset had a yellow warning which i think i didnt see in the beginning, i saw someone saying that you should disable your gpus drivers cus it may interfere with it. I did and so far my games havent crashed yet but ive only tested for awhile , i'll post results once ive checked after work

If you follow suggestions from elsewhere I'm afraid that we cannot help you, if you do something yourself that hoses your PC altogether we will not be in any way responsible.

Good luck with it.
