Hi everyone.
I have one game which I cannot get to run - Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove.
I’ve tried all compatibility modes, running windowed mode but I’m out of options.
This is affecting other players of the game too so we’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just 100% not working on 10 but yet older games work fine.
Is there any further suggestions I can try?
Currently running the game in Win 8.1vm but can’t have sound - may also post question on that later.

Thanks.

It worked on an older version of Windows 10.
The game is on a disc & yes I’ve tried the trial version with the same result.
The game appears on the taskbar as though opening but no splashscreen appears.
I’ve downloaded the DirectX for 2010 but still not working.

No need to quote previous posts, only adds to clutter.

My wife must have been lucky then, but I guess the game being about 10 years old would explain why they don't want to support it? Perhaps you could take them up on their offer of a free game.

As an experiment I downloaded the trial and I get the same result as you on a Win 10 1909 pc. It has been ages since my wife played the game which obviously was on an earlier version of 10.

Sorry but think you're out of luck with it.

Sorry you couldn't get it working, for what it's worth my wife has played many bigfish hog over the years and indeed quite a few have been flaky, even on older OS's.

I guess we have reached the end of the road with this issue now, so will mark it closed. Should you require further assistance with this in future please pm a staff member who can re open it for you.
