Hello, I've recently installed fifa 23 for the first time on of ans have been running into the issue below

Direct function "Dx12Renderer:waitOnSwapChain Gpu timeout detected" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "AMD
Radeon RX 6750 XT", Driver: 23.11.1
(23.20.23.01-231025a-397214C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition). This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing;
try installing the latest drivers.

Does anyone know the fix for this?

I have updated my drivers, reinstalled DirectX even tried the Xbox accessories app as I was suggested to do so from a friend and nothing has solved this issue I've also uninstalled and reinstalled fifa 23 aswell

Hello Fifapoound24,

If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Not sure how you missed answering the above but can we have the info.

Operating System
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 06/09/2023 20:59:00

Whoever set this computer up did not do so correctly, as to why us explained below;

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the MBs chipset drivers then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer or downloaded from their site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

The reason why this procedure is so important, the chipset is what enables the MB to be able to communicate with all the hardware + are the first drivers that Windows looks for on boot.

Driver Booster Scheduler
Driver Booster SkipUAC (pc)
Driver Booster Update

Complete snake oil that you will not see recommended on any reputable forum, agin see my canned info below;

Once Windows has been installed, you install the necessary drivers for the MB and other hardware and then leave well alone, drivers should not be allowed to auto update and you should never update any driver/s unless the new drivers are intended to resolve a specific issue that you are having, installing new drivers unnecessarily can actually cause you the very issues that any new drivers are intended to resolve and uninstalling the new drivers may not resolve the problem/s that installing the new drivers has caused.

Depending on priority it can take many months before the driver provider releases any fix and depending on the age of the hardware or software concerned they sometimes do not even bother or may have already announced an end of support.

I'm currently out at the moment, once I get home I can post the PSU brand and number.

This PC was a gift for my birthday so I'm not sure regarding the windows install.

Would you recommend me to do a fresh install on windows?

I have found its a gamemax psu but i dont know how to check the wattage, i have seen your other posts and will upgrade the psu as i have searched up and seen it is a bad psu

A fresh start would be good but only as long as it is done as was explained in my reply #5, just be sure not to reinstall the AVG garbage, you don't need it as Windows Defender is more than enough + it will not slow down you computer.

A build like yours should have a minimum of a 750W Gold efficiency rated PSU from the list here

Okay, ill do a fresh install as you have explained above. I will also purchase one of the PSU's you have mentioned thank you very much @phillpower2 for your help.

I'll keep you updated whether the fresh install helps and when the PSU is delieveried

Has an appropriate PSU been fitted.

After you clean installed Windows were the system drivers installed exactly as described in my reply #5, chipset, SATA/storage and then the onboard graphics.

Can you post a new Speccy url for us.
