External Keyboards Inputs are Random.

My external keyboard seems to be having an issue where typing certain letters results in strange outcomes.

This doesn't happen all of the time, it only seems to happen in MOST apps and games and only when inputting text.

Pressing the "Y" key will send my text cursor back to the start of my text whenever I am typing something. In games, it seems to auto-change whatever I've typed in into something else. For example, if I typed "Hey" it would change to "gg" instead.

Pressing "N" will result in me being placed at the bottom of a webpage. It also seems to auto-complete what I type into the search bar. However, it only does this with Edge and Bing. It doesn't do it with Chrome and Google.

I've looked through as many of my internal settings as I could think of. Changed language settings, checked drivers, uninstalled the device and reinstalled it, took off all things like auto-correct and the AI insights, unplugged and plugged it back in, and restarted my laptop. Nothing seems to have worked.

I've checked and it is only this one particular keyboard. The one I'm using now is working fine, and the inbuilt keyboard on the laptop is fine too.

As far as I'm aware, the keyboard isn't special with extra inputs or settings and I didn't do anything that would have caused this. It just started doing it when I was texting someone one day and the effects slowly seemed to leak into other places.

The keyboard is not of any specific brand, just a generic one. This issue is recent, from only a few days ago, and I can't seem to figure out what has caused it to suddenly start doing this.

My laptop is updated to the latest Windows update, my drivers are all up-to-date, and nothing is dirty or broken. Clearly, some kind of setting has been changed. Possibly during a button mash session, but, I don't see what or how. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. It's very frustrating.

if it is a wireless keyboard, have you replaced the batteries?
if it is only that articular keyboard, and other keyboard are fine, you can dispel the PC being at fault, and it may simply be a failing keyboard.
easily proven if you plug it into another PC and have it behave the same way.

It's wired.
I would test it in another if I could. I suppose it could just be dying on me. I haven't had it for that long, and it's a really weird situation for it. But, I can't see any other reason it would start doing these things out of nowhere.
