Solved Error 0xc0000225 when trying to install Windows 7

Hey y'all,
I don't know if this is the right forum to put this in, but I am currently building a PC using a Supermicro X7DVL-3 motherboard and when I try booting to the Windows 7 disc it starts to load but then the error "0xc0000225"
comes up saying:

"Windows failed to load because the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI compatible"

Is this a BIOS problem? Do I need to update the BIOS? I've downloaded the updated version onto a USB drive but I can't seem to boot to the USB drive to install the updated BIOS.

Alright so I updated my BIOS and I'm now able to get to the Windows 7 install. Now I'm having the problem of it not recognizing my hard drive to install on. It is being recognized in BIOS, but not when trying to install OS.

You'd use NTFS :)

Just don't install W7 on the hard drive in another computer, because when you move it over to your current one, settings will be corrupted and you'll most likely have to re-install W7 all over again.

Looks like I'm good to go! Windows 7 finished installing and I've been just running through and installing whatever updates are needed. Thanks everyone for your help! Looking forward to coming back here for all my PC troubles!
