England will be looking to live up to their billing as genuine contenders for the Women’s T20 World Cup as they kick off their campaign against South Africa on Sunday in Perth.

Having won the inaugural edition of the tournament at home back in 2009, they’ve since gone on to be beaten finalists on three occasions and will be keen to lose their regular runners-up tag this time out.

South Africa will also be looking to improve upon past performances, having reached the semi-finals just once in six appearances.

South Africa’s selectors have opted for an experienced side for the tournament, but their key component to the squad is undoubtedly talismanic captain Dane van Niekerk who is back following a year blighted by injuries.

England’s build up for this match hasn’t been ideal, following their shock defeat to Sri Lanka in their World Cup warm-up, but they’ll nevertheless be expected to have enough to see off South Africa here.

Led by an in-form Heather Knight, England boast one of the strongest batting orders in the tournament, with Amy Jones and Danni Wyatt looking like the sort of dynamic opening duo that could spearhead the team’s passage to the latter stages of this World Cup.

It's a Women’s T20 World Cup match not be missed - don't miss a ball by checking out our England vs South Africa live stream guide.

Live stream T20 cricket from outside your country

You might find you have a problem accessing your usual home service if you're abroad because of geo-blocking. It's where local broadcasters lock online streams of their coverage to specific areas by logging the IP address of the device trying to access their website.

Fortunately, there's an easy way to get around this nuisance and tune into the cricket just like you would from home. It's called using a VPN, and these useful pieces of software - known as Virtual Private Networks in full - allow you to log back to your country that is broadcasting the match.
