dwm.exe causing PC to crash when streaming

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hi all,

I have been having this problem for some time now. I have streamlabs open along with spotify, discord and a game. Sometimes the crash will come before i have even pressed "Go Live". The crash will make both my monitors go black for a few seconds and then come back but applications are either closed, not responsive or cannot be closed so have to power off PC from the button.

My specs:
Ryzen 7 5700g
32GB Ram @ 3600
RTX 2080
850W Gold EVGA PSU

I have tried every single fix i have found on the internet and nothing has helped. I have replaced my CPU, Mobo, Ram and PSU and still getting this problem making me think that its my GPU causing it. But a 2080 should be able to handle this without any problems??

Thank you for your time :)

So we can see what else is going on
Can you Download and run and then post. https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/download

Have you tried overclocking your ram.
Your ram is already not compatible with the cpu. 32GB Ram @ 3600
System Memory Specification
Up to 3200MHz From here https://www.amd.com/en/products/apu/amd-ryzen-7-5700g

So i got the crash again as soon as i pressed go live for the pop up to come up where i change the title.

The crash restarted my pc automatically which it hasnt done before and i got this in the reliability monitor

I would also turn off tpm, turn power supply off from high performance and uninstall Java. You can reinstall later
after testing if you need it. and as Bruce recommends update.
Test
Sorry I did not get an email with your speccy report. That is why I did not respond earlier

I've updated windows, turned off TPM in BIOS, Switched PSU off high performance to balanced. Java was already uninstalled so not sure why it will be telling you i have it installed.

Will test this with a stream again this evening

alright so i still had a crash. But this time, Rocket league crashed, DS4 crashed. Streamlabs also crashed but still kept the stream live and updated my chat. Streamlabs just wasnt responsive, so the stream timer wouldnt update and the chat box for the overlay didnt update.

Operating System
Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit

You have an OS that is intended for use by large corporations who have their own IT departments + ten years of direct support from Microsoft.

For legal reasons we need to ask how you come to have such an OS on the computer.

in that case, why aren't you getting them into this issue, is it their PC?, is it running on their system? - Yes to either and I reckon they would want to be all over this issue.
also, Yes to either, and I'm amazed they let you tinker with the PC, and allow the installation of games.
