Dual monitors issue

Status
Not open for further replies.
I recently got two free hand-me-down monitors from work. They only have AVG and DVI ports. My gaming pc has one HDMI port and one DisplayPort for the output. I am currently using an HDMI to DVI cord which is working fine, but it only works for one monitor (obviously). I bought an HDMI splitter from Best Buy and could only mirror my monitors rather than having two separate monitors to work with. I tried going through all my settings hold windows and pressing "P".

And yes, I even unplugged them so that has definitely been ruled out. I then bought a DisplayPort to HDMI splitter and that just puts my monitors to sleep. I am about one more issue away from pulling my hair out. I think I also have two output DVI ports. I'll be back to check if thats true in a few minutes.

Thank you, you sweet, sweet human for helping me.
