Whenever large files are downloaded from the web, the download process stops without the connection error even showing. The estimated time until installation disappears and it stops downloading the data without a retry option. I always have good internet and I even tried turning off my antivirus and then doing a clean boot to see if it works but it just won't download even if I have enough space in my hard drive. How do I fix this?

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Have you contacted your ISP could be having issues on their end.

Part of your problem is to many firewalls and security software installed and running.

Windows Defender
Windows Defender: Enabled

Firewall
Firewall: Enabled
Display Name: McAfee Firewall

Antivirus
Windows Defender
Antivirus: Disabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date

Avast Antivirus
Antivirus: Enabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date

McAfee VirusScan
Antivirus: Disabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date

Would sagest that you uninstall the Avast and McAfee and just use Windows Defender.

Having more than one AV or Firewall installed on your computer is bad, it will slow down the computer, cause internet connection problems and leave you with no AV protection at all if they cancel each other out as they fight for resources.

Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 come with an improved Windows Defender, it offers the same real-time anti-virus/anti-malware protection as Microsoft Security Essentials. Windows Defender also shares the same malware signature definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials, and Forefront Endpoint Protection. Technically, Microsoft Security Essentials has not been renamed Windows Defender, or combined with it in Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11.

To uninstall Avast

To uninstall McAfee

Once any other AV has been correctly uninstalled, check to see if Windows Defender has auto enabled and allow it to update and carry out a full scan of your computer.

Once done, restart, test by using the computer as you normally, post back with an update when you are ready.

The other thing that I see has probably caused issues Drive Easy which is nothing but CRAP WARE.

ONLY get drivers from the system manufacture and or the component manufacture.

Another one that you may wish to get rid of is CCLEANER ever since Avast took it over it has become riddled with ads. It also has removed files and or registry entries that are vital for windows to preform and run correctly.

I've deleted all four of the applications but I'm having problems with McAfee.

This was not the first time I tried deleting McAfee. Back then I wanted to get avast so I tried to uninstall it. I looked up some guides and followed them and installed the McAfee uninstaller and then I ran the application to delete all McAfee products. I don't know how it is still here though.
I tried uninstalling it again this time and I checked in speccy to see if it's gone but it still isn't fully deleted.

Also, the problem is still not fixed. I'm still having problems with downloading large files

Were you able to download the McAfee uninstall file?

Few more test and things to try test for a bit after each one.

Have you tried if possible, running with a cable between the modem to the computer.

Reset the network on the system see if that clears it up.

Let's try this then you can do one or the other both accomplish the same.

Go into Setting
Select Network and Internet
Make sure you are under Status in the left
On the Right scroll down and select Network Reset
Read the information and then select Reset Now
Select Yes for the network to be reset and the system to reboot.
The rest before the system reboots may take a few minutes

How to reset via Command Prompt
Open an Administrator Command Prompt
type (Copy and Paste) the following Commands and press Enter

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh int ipv6 reset
netsh int ipv4 reset
netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot your computer and see if that helps at all.

We can see if resetting the network setting in that system makes any difference.

Let's see if a Clean Boot make any difference.

Have you tried using Safe Mode with networking?

Could also run a System File Checker.
