Solved Do i need to unistall anything before major hardware changes?

I am going to be buying a new motherboard, cpu and ram (keeping same gpu) and just wanted to know if I need to uninstall anything before making these major hardware changes. I am staying with my same Hard drive so I just wanted to know if I had to uninstall anything before upgrading my build. So I just wanna know if I can straight swap out the stuff in my pc or if I have to uninstall some stuff before hand to prevent problems.

*note* I am switching form AMD to Intel

Since you are changing out the mobo with a new cpu and ram. Also since you are keeping the gpu / HDD ,my question would be what wattage is your psu And what wattage does your new cpu using? Other than that nothing to disconnect..

I have a 750 watt EVGA 80+ gold psu. And So I don’t have to uninstall any drivers or files on my pc before doing the hardware change?

Also the new CPU im ordering ( i5 8400 ) uses 65 watts.

gus is right.
for such a big hardware change, why not get the best improvement and also load a fresh install of Windows.
with so many components being swapped out, Windows will probably through a hissy-fit and want reactivation.

Ok thanks I will just format my drive and get a fresh cd key of windows pro or something.

Wise decision, as to why explained below;

Unless your present product key is the full retail version you cannot use it with a new MB as an OEM product key is tied to the original MB it was paired with, to use an OEM key with a new MB would be software piracy and therefore illegal.

Exceptions to the above are 1: If your MB is replaced under warranty and 2: If your MB is replaced out of warranty with an alternative type but same brand due to the original model no longer being available, an upgraded MB however will require the purchase of a new OS licence.

If you have a full retail disk and a product key that is not in use on another computer the OEM restriction/s is/are not the same.
