hello, i've been having a frustrating issue with my pc.
My pc shuts down when i am gaming and i took it to multiple pc workshops and they checked every single hardware part everything is fine and the benchmarks numbers are fine and they told me that my gpu is overheating because when they put their hands on the surface of my gpu they find it very hot but the temps are from 60c to 70c at most.
My gpu is rtx 3080 asus rog strix 12gb i had it for a year and a half and i never had a problem with it it ran smoothly before, and what did i do now for it to overheat like they say i played a little bit of helldivers 2 :) and then the pc turned off while playing it and then every other game it shuts off but the motherboard light is still turned on and the case power button's light is still on too.
I have tried every single solution in terms of software, and i tried using an rtx 2060 instead of 3080 and i played for 1 hour then the same problem happened but i changed the thermal paste of the 2060 and the problem never happened with that gpu, but i also changed the thermal paste of the 3080 and the problem happened ! what is this !.
Anyways i checked the psu and replaced it with another one and the same thing happened again, i use a 750w psu.
And what's weird is that i gave the gpu to a friend and he played with it for hours and it didn't overheat or shut off his pc !.
My specs are:
GPU: Asus rog strix 3080 12gv
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
MB: Gigabyte aorus x470
PSU: EVGA BRONZE 750w
RAMS: 32 corsair vengance
Please help me i am at my wit's end.

Finally someone responded.

Pardon, you got nowhere with this when paying for tech support so you may want to be a bit more polite when someone is prepared to help you for free, helpers come from all over the world and while you are sleeping they are giving up their time helping others.

GPU: Asus rog strix 3080 12gv
PSU: EVGA BRONZE 750w

750W is 100W below what ASUS state here as being the minimum and Bronze efficiency only good enough for onboard video or GPUs that pre date UEFI BIOS.

ASUS GPU specs here

What you describe as happening is typical behaviour of a PSU overheating internally and the thermal sensor shutting it down to prevent it going into meltdown, EVGA are a good brand so you are lucky.

You need a minimum of an 850W Gold efficiency rated PSU from a proven brand such as the Corsair RM range, EVGA, Seasonic or Super Flower, seven year warranty minimum but preferably ten.
