Dell Vostro 5490 - sound problems - crakling

Hello,

I have my Dell for several months now. Suddenly, out of nowhere this crakling and buzzing appeared when sound is played. The noises are not permanent but can be heard from time to time (couple of seconds apart) and it just can drive you mad. After two attemps of fixing the problem - speakers replaced by Dell (in warranty until 2023), windows updated - the issue still persists. It was missing for a week after the spekers got replaced with new ones, but then here it goes again.

Please, give me some advice and help me solve this problem, because it is slowly killing me...

Is there any connection with overheating, maybe... is it software, or I just got "lucky" again with defective parts.

Something interesting is that there is no problem when connected via Bluethoot to an external device, but still you can hear the cracks if I plug it to a TV with an hdmi cable.

The first test that you want to be doing is connecting a set of headphones to the notebook to see if the problem is the same with them, you could likewise connect a set of external speakers to see if they also produce the same issue.

Thanks philpower2 for taking an interest in my problem.

I did what you suggested. The crakling noises are even more noticeable with the headphones plugged in.

Looking forward to your opinion on that!
 
I suspect that there could be a loose connection somewhere inside the case that could be shorting out intermittently, last two checks you can do are restart the notebook in Safe Mode to see if the problem persists and trying a set of external speakers.

If the problem is still present in Safe Mode it supports a hardware issue, if no problem in Safe Mode there is a good chance that it is driver related, being honest though I suspect that it is hardware related.
