Solved Deal of the century?

Okay, so I've been looking for another rig to buy, and I was on an FB page, and came across a PC, immediately I shivered with delight, it looked amazing, I wanted to lick it right there and then (dont ask), so naturally I went to the full post and details, I was amazed! (maybe it's because my rig is 5 years out of it's league, or maybe it IS the deal of the century.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming ATX Motherboard (AMD 990FX, SB950, DDR3, S-ATA 600)
CPU: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition "Vishera" CPU (8 Core, AM3+, Clock 4.0 GHz, Turbo 4.2 GHz, 8 MB L3 Cache, 125 W)
CPU cooler: Coolermaster seidon 120 all in one liquid cooler inc. fan
Ram: Hyper x fury 24gb (2x8gb Blue, 2x4gb Black)
GPU: 2GB MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming OC
PSU: Aerocool Integrator 650W PSU 12cm Black Fan
Fans: 120mm standard case silent fan, 3 x Corsair CO-9050009-WW Air Series AF140 (with interchangeable colour rings)
Case: Phanteks P400 with RGB LED.

He wants 350. it's not too far from me, and the only thing wrong is that there is no HDD as he's ripped it for his new rig, is this a good deal? somethings saying it's too good to be true. I mean it looks heavy on RAM, and the Mobo isn't amazing (better than mine no doubt)

In my opinion, that's a really good deal.
It would be a better deal if it came with Windows installed because you will need to purchase a new hard drive and a legally licensed copy of Windows.

Well funnily enough I was just talking to Dougie on my other thread, and I'll be pulling both my HDD's out, one having windows installed, so I think I should really have a look into this. I can't grumble at that price, I would share pics, but it has his name on etc, I don't want to be giving out any of his information etc. Just believe me when I say, it's pretty.

Not too bad a deal but in addition to the OS and HDD I would also swap in a better quality brand of PSU to protect your new investment, there is an Aerocool Integrator 600W PSU and an Integrator MOD XT 650W list on the PSU database both of which had a two year warranty when new, the Aerocool Integrator 600W PSU gets a mention on the Toms Tier 4 list here the MOD XT 650W PSU is list as yet to be tested but being that the inner workings of the PSU are supplied by HEC the said PSU is not one that I would recommend.

Regarding the product key for Windows, please see my canned info below which will hopefully explain any limitations that may affect you;

Unless your OS disk/product key is the full retail edition you cannot use it with another MB as an OEM disk is tied to the original MB it was paired with, to use an OEM product key with a new MB is software piracy and therefore illegal.

Exceptions to the above are 1: If your MB is replaced under warranty and 2: If your MB is replaced out of warranty with an alternative type but same brand due to the original model no longer being available, an upgraded MB however will require the purchase of a new OS licence.

If you have a full retail disk and a product key that is not in use on another computer the OEM restriction/s is/are not the same.

Unfortunately, yes I do have an update, not a very good one either.

First I sold my rig, to help fund the one I was buying, contacted the seller, and he was happy to post it to me (I say happy, he had his doubts so he placed £500 insurance on the tower), he took a small video of him packaging it up to make sure all my details etc were correct, and even sent me a picture in the post office with proof of postage (and visible in the background was my package). Everything was fine, I was excited, now I just had to wait 1-2 days for my new machine.

It arrived, mysteriously it was in a bin bag (which wasn't there on ANY of the photos). I asked the courier "are you sure this is the right package?", the courier said yes showed me a re-print of my address, and asked for me to sign for it before I could accept it (I was getting slightly confuse), which I did, I then took it inside. Before I opened it, however, I took a few snapshots and conferred with the seller, he confirmed that he didn't wrap it like that, and to video me opening the package.

I was horrified. the front of the case was none existent apart from a few shards of acrylic, the side window was smashed, the GPU was missing, the case had HUGE dents all over it, the mother board had scratches all over it. I literally dropped my phone in shock. The seller was furious and repeatedly kept apologizing, but I knew it wasn't his fault, I saw all his evidence.

We got onto RM, they issued him a refund, he issued me a refund, and thankfully, the person I sold my PC to was a friend, and mainly bought it off me to help with my funding, he was the one who suggested I took it back. But it's been a while since I've been on a PC.

So now I'm back to square one, looking for deals... it was so pretty though.. I literally did fall a little bit in love with it, and to see it like that, I almost cried (not joking)
