Hi, as Malnutrition has just declared my computer clean, I won't worry about prework right now, because I suspect this is just a phishing thing - this is what came up the other day Mal, but it popped up just now & I took a screenshot... attached. It says 'if you don't ring immediately/close the page/shut down the machine we will be forced do disable your computer'

Thanks. Yes, reset router... but got a brand new one today - from new isp. Yes, my daughter was looking up 123movies on my machine today & hers the other day, so I thought that may be a deciding factor. So it's a 'phishing' thing that should just be ignored?

Yep, adding the Ublock origin and Ghostery should help, using that site and those like it is a battle with popups. You just gotta close them out to get to the movie. Also, add one of these DNS servers to your router or your machine...

Alternate DNS ad blocking DNS

Adguard DNS server.
