Hello guys!
I have a motherboard with chipset intel h61 there is right now CPu intel Core i5 2320 3,0ghz. I heard that socket can upgrade on something better with great performance. I see a lot of models i7. however i don't know which is best option and which generation. Can someone tell me which one will be the best and the most performance cpu for that socket?

Best regards

Ksawus

Edit: I cannot edit anymore post Ofc please tell also which i7 will work with my gpu gigabyte g1 4gb gtx 1050ti? Bt i guess i7 will not make bottleneck.

For the motherboard model you quote an I7-2xxx series cpu, socket 1155 will suit your system.

Ok, I will look for that models. I have one more question. What is reason why the my gpu card is unstable when I oc. This model gigabyte g1 GTx 1050ti has oC app where I can overclock. After apply oC it’s just freeze whole computer and I need to restart. What is the reason? 300w Psu not enough? Or adjusted manually unstable MHz at oC?

How old and make and model of the Power Supply Unit would help to know. @phillpower2 can help with picking the proper power supply for you system.

That card does require 300 watts yet what some power supplies mark as 300 watts may actually out put less. The older the power supply the weaker it gets.

Other things to think of is that there are other things in the system that require power so there goes even more or the 300 watts.

Other reason could be improper cooling. Over Clocking anything (over excreting) cause it to work harder causing more heat.

This is the model and ma make Fujitsu Tower 300W Power Supply Unit S26113-E517-V50 DPS-210FB A. This one is really old, 2012 year. Yes currently im planning to switch also my power supply probably more powerful, cuz in future im gonna upgrade my pc again. Over clocking i did only for graphic card but this one has original oc app from gigabyte Aouros engine. I think it should be enough cooling system on that card.

Overclocking can cause instability and the reasons are many, if your system doesn't do what you want without overclocking it's probably time to move on.
Maybe better to consider replacing the PC with a more modern one?

this is also good idea to switch into more modern one. Maybe I should buy some base model and switch my gpu disk and other parts into newer? Do you have some great ideas what to buy not really expensive?

The biggest question is what are you planning to do with the computer? What is you budget?

You are already looking at new
Motherboard
CPU
RAM
Power Supply

Are you current disk drive SATA or PATA (formally called EIDE). If PATA then you will have to replace them as well and we suggest a Solid State Drive.

Play games most of the time is gta V at FiveM, ets2, maybe some newer productions like ac. Really imortant thing will be coding server for FiveM so for test i have to play GTA V. My budget right now max 200 or 500 euros nothing more than that. Currently im thinking if its sense to buy i7 or just spent more for new mo, cpu, ram and psu even you recommend that. This pc what i have i've got that long time ago and just upgraded with better gpu and 16 gb ram, ram 1333mhz. Unfortunately gta v still doesnt work well on i5 2320 so i need something with higher perfomance. My computer use only SATA connections. Right now i have SSD samsung evo 750 250gb on my Windows 10 and 500GB HDD.

Then my suggestion is get a whole new system. Like you stated the current one is really old and how long before you have to replace something else.

@gus @phillpower2 might be able to tell you the site that can help spec out system that will meet you needs and we will also be here to assist with that as well. You can also look at prefabricated systems like Hewlett-Packard and Dell and Asus.

I think this can be fine i saw on ebay cheap motherboards for more modern cpu's and sata iii USB 3.0 so just need to know which cpu, psu and ram buy. My latest buy was gpu gigabyte g1 gtx 1050ti card is from 2017 this one is at this moment probably enough.

This is the model and ma make Fujitsu Tower 300W Power Supply Unit

As is the case with most if not all brand name computer providers the PSU is cheap, generic junk from you know where, labelled as producing 300W when it in fact only produces 210W, see attachment.

The present computer is not worth upgrading as it has too many limiting factors, has the smaller uATX type MB and chassis which are really only any good for office type work or after upgrading the PSU and adding a half decent GPU using it as a HTPC.

Have you taken on board the guidance that was previously provided courtesy of gus and Rustys respectively, apart from swapping in a quality brand and output PSU there is nothing that can be added to this computer due to the low spec, any card better than your GTX 1050Ti will be bottlenecked by your slower hardware.

Don`t skimp when it comes to a PSU, check the PSU links in my signature for brands to trust and to avoid and be sure to measure and compare the dimensions of the existing and any potential replacement PSU, best PSU that I could find in your part of the world here good brand, adequate output, three year warranty and the least expensive that I could find.

I’m not gonna upgrade anymore this unit. Just like other guy said up. I’m gonna build new one with new mo cpu and ram. So which motherboard up to 120 euros will be enough for my needs? I have 500 euros budget max. which CPU and speed of ram? I think the psu from your suggestions will be perfect.

The budget is a limiting factor I`m afraid as swapping MBs means that you will have to also purchase a Windows product key as the one in use on the Fujitsu is non transferable, two options, swap in the PSU and see how that goes, if all ok, stick with the Fujitsu while you save up another 300 euros and then do a new build in which you can transfer any newly purchased PSU that you will alrady have. take a look at the parts list info here it will give you an idea of the cost per performance ratio to expect.

I have also box version of windows 7.
Ok that website show clearly enough and open more my eyes on new hardware. In that budget i can see its even more than enough. Thank you guys for that help.
