Hello, my dad has a problem with his pc. One day the pc wouldn't post when turned on.

His specs are :

CPU :AMD FX-6300

GPU: 1050TI

RAM: 8GB DDR3

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2

PSU: bequiet! SYSTEM POWER 10 550W

We replaced the GPU with a spare GPU, and it didn't change anything. THE PSU was bought about 3 months ago. We thought the problem was the mobo, so we bought one with 20$ from someone, the mobo is asus m5a78l-m lx.

When we replaced it, plugged everything in the mobo, we start it up and it shows this :

"CPU Over Temperature Error!
Power supply surges detected during the previous power on.
ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit."

We are assuming that new PSU fried the old mobo, and now it tries to fry the cpu which is overheating and it shows in the bios that it has 127°C.We applied new thermal paste when we put everything in the new mobo..

This situation is very upsetting, I need help in this situation. Thanks
