Solved CPU Debug Light

Hey.

New member here. Hoping anyone could help me out or give me some directions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So i turn my newly "made" computer on for the first time and everything looks good: all components seem connected properly, fans working, gpu lighting up and motherboard all active.

However whats also lighting up is the CPU debug Light on my Motherboard and i get no display.

After reading on the internet it seems like a lot of users encounter this problem.
My main question is if i could narrow down the potential problems to help with the troubleshooting:

So what can the CPU debug light mean/indicate is wrong?

i flashed with the latest BIOS version 7C84v15 , released 2021-01-26 as my Motherboard was not compatible "out of the box"

Where would you start troubleshooting and in what order?

My specs:

CPU: RYZEN 5950x
MOBO: MSI X570 Tomahawk Wifi

RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Neo DDR4 32GB (2 x 16) 3600 CL 16

Cpu fan: Noctua NH-D15S Chromax.black

GPU: RTX Rog Strix 3080 OC -

PSU: Asus ROG Strix 850W PSU White edition

Nvme: Gigabyte AORUS 1TB PCIe 4.0 + Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB

How was this done, did you already have a compatible CPU working in a fully working PC then swap out the original CPU and fit the 5950x.

Are the the following three cables correctly connected to the MB.

1x 24-pin ATX main power connector
1x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector (Make sure that you have used one of the CPU 4+4 connectors and not a 6+2 GPU connector)
1x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector (This one is normally optional for overclockers)

The flash was done with just the Motherboard powered up: 24 pin and 8 pin (4+4) (no other components installed) and with a usb 2.0 formatted to FAT32 (as recommended).

I have had no other CPU used on this Motherboard. The PC and its components are completely new, no other CPU has been used on this Motherboard before the 5950x.

Power:

1x 24 pin is connected.

1x8 pin is connected (4+4) is connected.

i did not connect this one as my assumption was that it is only used for overclocking. Is this where my issue might be?

As for the USB: i inserted it into the BIOS flash usb socket (its marked) and as far as im concerned its the correct one to use.

The bios was updated without any CPU installed, so yes, before putting CPU in socket.


I have read similar users had to flash their BIOS several times before it actually worked correctly, so it might be my Bios flash was somewhat unsuccesfull.

Apparently the LED light on the Motherboard should light up/ flash for about 5 minutes and both the USB and white led should be blinking the whole time.

When i remember my process, it was fairly quickly over. Maybe 2-3 minutes max before the light shutted down.

I am thinking to maybe try to flash the Bios again with a different usb and see if i get a better result.

so i got it to work after reflashing BIOS, thanks a lot for the help! I was getting very nervous about this yesterday but having someone to communicate with calmed my nerves
