Hello Evan, many thanks for your reply.
How would I check the WIFI adaptor settings for IP config? My version of windows is 1903.
The main issue is this error is intermittent, so sometimes the wifi will work, other times it wont. although have to say, it hasnt worked at all for a few weeks now.
You need to right click on your Wi-Fi adapter, go to Properties and click on the IPv4 configuration and make sure the Obtain IP address is configured for Automatic configuration like in your screenshot above. I am not sure if that was for your Ethernet adapter or your Wi-Fi adapter.
You should update your system to 1909. Download the Media Creation Tool and update your system to 1909 and see if there is any improvement.

I am just updating windows now to 1909 so will report on that separately.
As you will see from the pic below, the wifi connects to router no problem, and is set to obtain ip auto, but just has zero internet access
Ok, let me know if updating to Windows 10 version 1909 makes any difference with your Internet connection.
sorry i have been away. so far, updating to windows 1909 appears to have resolved the issue. However, this is usually what happens, it works for a few weeks then out of nowhere it just stops, so the jury is still out for now
