Hello and thanks for reading. Last year I bought a used pc and have had lockup issues constantly. Lately, I can barely get past windows booting up before it does it again. At first I figured cooling issues, so I redid thermal paste on all cpu/gpu/mobo, to no success. I have replaced both hard drives in hopes of starting from a clean slate would fix it. Nothing. I rearranged RAM sticks, updated bios, removed sound card, set video card fan speeds higher and still the lockups happen. Without spare parts around, I feel at mercy of having to continuously pour money into new parts that is pushing total cost of the unit towards the 2k mark. I feel completely let down and lost about how to fix this. Maybe gpu or mobo is giving out? Heres what's in the case:
Cpu: amd fx 9590 4.7 no oc
Gpu: amd radeon rx470
Mobo: asus rog crosshair v formula z
Ram: 2 sets (4sticks) 16g corsair vengeance ddr3 2400mhz
Hdd: 2x wd 1tb black 7200rpm
Cpu has a small liquid cooling unit with single fan
Thoughts and idea are greatly appreciated and ill check in often for quick replies. Sorry for the long read but I tried to be as detailed as I could.
