In the past when I got a new computer, I would copy my documents, pictures music, favorites etc. from my old computer to a flash drive. Then I would copy those items from the flash drive to the new computer. Then I have to reinstall other programs like CCleaner, Malwarebytes etc. Takes several hours. My plan when I get another new computer is to remove the SSD from the new computer, hook it up with cables to my old computer, and then use Macrium Reflect to clone the new SSD. Any drawbacks ? Suggestions please.

I would ensure you do not wipe the old HD until you’re 100% sure the SSD will boot fine.
The only concerns would be drivers & the Windows license on the old drive, the license if OEM will not activate on the new SSD. I would download any MB drivers which you may need for the new PC before cloning the drive.
