Can't copy mp3 files to SD card

My PC recognises there's a phone attached to the PC and sees the SD card in the phone, I can drill down to the music folder that I want on the SD.. Then when I go to cut or copy and paste the mp3 files and paste them into the SD card, nothing happens. It just says moving the first file and nothing at all happens, it just hangs there saying it's starting moving the first mp3 file but nothing at all happens.

Any ideas why this might be?

It sounds like y ou may not have the phone set to the proper mode for file transfer.

How you do this does differ phone to phone. Normally it is along the lines of -

Tap the Menu button, then Settings, then Connect to PC. or press Connection Type and then choose "Disk Drive" or "Media Storage". The names of these connection types can vary aswell. Other common connection type names include MTP or PTP.

You might have to first move the mp3 songs from the PC to the Music folder on the phone.
Try this with 1 song. Does it work?

If so, after you have the music on the phone, then move to songs to the sd card.

I don't store any music on my phone so I can't test this.
