Soooo recently might my PC has been doing these random Lag Stutters when im playing a game while running Discord as well (Games like Valorant).. My PC does one big lag spike where I cant even move my cursor and everything Freezes and the 5 seconds later another lag spike and then Boom MY PC Reboots itself and its so frustrating. I'm not sure if its because I have a bad power supply or maybe its my CPU or maybe the motherboard. but I've been thinking of getting a new CPU and Motherboard because while I play I have OBS Discord and A Game running at once and maybe its too much for it to handle. I'll leave my specs under this so you guys can get an idea of what im working with and maybe help me with my issue. This another issue maybe it doesnt have to do with this but sometimes I can be playing a game while discord running in the background and all of a sudden Discord like mutes my ability to hear the people in a Voice Call and Im forced to restart my PC because they cant hear me either its so weird and this plays along with my PC rebooting its self as well. If anyone knows how to resolve my problem PLEASEEE help me out Thanks a bunch

PC Specs.
CPU- Ryzen 5 2600
GPU- GTX 1660 super
Mobo- Asrock B450 Pro4
RAM- DDR4 3200 2x8gb sticks
SSD- EVO 90 250gb
HDD- 1TB Seagate
PowerSupply - ARES Game 500W+ Bronze

I was thinking of upgrading getting a Ryzen 5 3600 as well as a MSI B450 Tomohawk because I think my old ones may be the issue if not PLEASE Recommend me some parts. This is a content creation and gaming build.

Hi Pradah
Please read this Click On Me about windows updates causing problems.
Also Can you Download and run and then post. https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/download
To post: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/speccy/using-speccy/publishing-a-speccy-profile-to-the-web Note you do not have to include the speccy report here just the link.

Can you go here and download speed fan and install Click On Me .
Run speed fan then click on the Exotics tab > show the magic. post a screen capture.
To do a screen capture in Windows 10 press the windows key and the print screen button together.
It will put the image in Pictures>Screenshots

Also your Power supply is 500W and the video card has a recommended power of 450W Click On Me
so you do not have any wiggle room for everything else.
A typical CPU needs between 65 & 95W and more for 4 + cores

Hello!!! Thank you for being the one to reply to me, Seriously it means a lot I've done what you told me to do so here are the snap shots and link.
But I did read that post of windows being buggy and I'm still not sure what to do, I think im missing something so can you please tell me what steps I should take after reading that Post? Thank you. Also you did hint that I may need a bigger power supply in which I will be willing to upgrade if that does have something to do with my issue, keeping that in mind If theres any other parts you think I should upgrade please let me know Thank You.

Note That the snap shot that has a 1 on it is what pc PC is like with nothing running in the background and the one that has a 2 on it is the one that has a game, discord, a recording software and spotify running at once.

Temps are not that bad but running a game may push the temps up a bit.
Do you need to be running Java. Can we remove it for testing. it can be re installed if you need it.
Can you go to Control Panel>Programs and Features. Uninstall Java there may be 32 and 64 bit java.
Also in the same place Control Panel>Programs and Features on the left hand side click on View installed updates
Find update KB5001330 click on it and click on uninstall.
Reboot and test.

Did you do any overclocking of the Ram in the BIOS if YES please undo the overclocking

Hey there was a windows update that I think may have fixed my issue with random crashes, Thanks for helping though, Back to what I said though, I do want to upgrade my build so what path should I go for to make sure I have enough head room for a better gpu in the future, As of right now I am considering on getting a ryzen 5 3600 so I may need to buy a 600w Power Supply for that I assume. I was also considering a better motherboard like the MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK Gaming Motherboard just to future proof my rig when I get better parts like another GPU. Let me know what you think. I posted my PC Specs in my first post if you need to recall. Thanks!

PowerSupply - ARES Game 500W+ Bronze

There is one thing that is possibly worse than using a known poor quality brand of PSU and that is using one that is unheard of, for brands of PSU to trust and brands to avoid please refer to the links in my sig.

Before purchasing a new PSU it is advisable that you measure the dimensions of the present PSU and ensure that the new PSU has the correct power connections for the MB, HDDs, optical drives, FDDs or add on cards such as a video card if one is fitted.

GPU- GTX 1660 super

Not very demanding when it comes to wattage but you should not use anything less than a Gold efficiency rated PSU on a PC intended for gaming or demanding video editing etc, Bronze and below rated PSUs are only intended for PCs that only have integrated graphics or the most basic of add on video card for school or office type work.

For the present build, a 500W or above Gold efficiency rated PSU with a minimum of seven but preferably a ten year warranty period is what I would suggest.
