I keep getting BSOD whenever I play games. Be it newer games, older games, no matter how heavy or light. What I find strange is that it's not absolutely every time, at least not when I run older games. I could play a match or two of Age of Mythology without a problem, only to have the 3rd one crash. Anything heavier than that, like league of Legends, crashes every time. Sometimes I don't even get the blue screen. Everything stops and I have to hit the reboot button on the case. Other than that, PC runs normally and quietly. The Event Viewer doesn't help me much because I'm really not understanding any of that stuff. And if it's anything about temperatures, I don't know how to measure that when BSOD gets in the way. I just wish to know the exact cause before I replace anything (if such a thing is even needed).

Processor: AMD A6 - 3500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM: 8,00 GB (7,73 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 10 Pro

The first dmp is two weeks old so of no use and the second dmp is something that is unknown TS4_54.exe to be exact see here here and attachment below;

The CPU is mentioned in both crashes so we need to check that for you along the way

For gaming you really should get yourself at least a mid range add on GPU.

The TS4_64.exe is a game (The Sims 4) and It's basically what I run when I need dump files from BSOD cause it's the quickest for me.

Sorry but not sure what you mean by the above, any chance you could explain a bit more for us, crash dmps are a Windows thing and as such can be obtained quickly from within Windows.

The Sims 4 will play very poorly using your onboard video;

Radeon HD 6530D Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 6530D is an integrated GPU in one of AMD's processors. It's part of the high-end class GPUS of this Series. It supports DirectX 11 and uses system memory and it only supports DDR3-1866 memory type.
The performance, is obviously, limited but demanding games should still be playable from low to medium settings (depending on the resolution + DirectX version used), while very demanding games might not run at all or might require very reduced settings.
All in all, even though it supports DirectX 11, most likely games that use it are unplayable to the lowest settings or only playable on the lowest settings because every game out there using DirectX 11 is either demanding or very demanding.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as I have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

Well basically I have to wait for BSOD to happen in order to get files in minidump, or so I thought. That's why I ran TS4 (the game) to get it.
I was able to play the game without any issue for the last several years, so I don't think my specs are the problem. Furthermore, I can't play ANY game now, not just the Sims 4. I can't play super old games without freezing or getting BSOD screen. This only started a few months back.

Thanks for the clarification (y)

Going by your latest crash dmp it was TS4 that caused the crash and being that it was not driver related other than a hardware issue such as bad RAM I can only think of two things as being the cause, weak hardware or not having enough resources, this perhaps why your CPU is being flagged up as it also provides your video.

Quickest way to get crash dmps and how to upload them to a forum;

1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.
2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
3. Upload the zip folder using the Attach button, bottom left of the dialogue input box

I was able to play the game without any issue for the last several years,

You have done well if your PC is seven years old and this is the first issue that you have had.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Can we also have this info.

We can see a couple of issues in Speccy but will address the following two first;

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 22.9.2020 5:48:49

Not Installed
26.11.2020 Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Dynamic Installer for x64-based Systems (KB2388210)
Installation Status: Failed
SetupUpdate:
26.11.2020 Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Dynamic Installer for x64-based Systems (KB2388210)
Installation Status: Failed

The present OS was installed on 22.9.2020.

Was this around the time that you first started having issues.

Was it a clean install of Windows 10 using a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft or did you upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Any idea as to how or why someone has tried to install Windows 7 updates when you are running Windows 10.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: High performance

I suggest that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

I completely forgot to post the PSU, my apologies: it says Blueberry model: PS8450
220V-50Hz 3A
115V-60Hz 6A

About the whole Windows 10 and 7 thing, I was actually trying to switch back to Windows 7, I thought Windows 10 could be too heavy for my PC?
The present OS was installed on 22.9.2020.
No idea what that is. The Windows I have currently was installed last year like I said, and yesterday I tried to switch to Windows 7 but I couldn't find the right ISO file, so I gave up.

Okay, switched the Windows Power Plan to Balanced.

Not finding anything using the PSU info provided, will leave as is for now though and see if changing the Windows Power Plan to Balanced helps any.

To go back to Windows 7 after so long you would need to do a clean install using a genuine Windows 7 DVD or ISO.

The 22.9.2020 date will be when the version 2004 update was installed, this update caused a lot pf people problems with many of the reported issues being GPU related, can you recall if it was around 22.9.2020 that you began having problems.

Create a new system restore point then try whatever games you have installed and get back to us with an update.

Can I ask that while we are troubleshooting this that you do not install any new programs or change any system settings, thanks.

Ok I just had another BSOD during a different game. Everything froze and the BSOD screen was all messed up, with white lines instead of letters. And there are no dump files made in the Minidump.

Calling it a day now as I've been online for 11hrs and need some sleep, back tomorrow morning UK time.

What you describe was not a BSOD and that is why there are no crash dmps, see my canned explanation below;

We are going to need the correct info for you PSU, the info that you post previously leads nowhere and what you describe happening has all the trademarks of an overheating/weak power supply.

Software such as Windows can crash and when it does crash you get a BSOD and when enabled a crash dmp is generated.

Hardware failure such as a weak power supply and/or overheating are not software related and when a computer freezes or suddenly turns off etc the behaviour should be described as the "computer shut down unexpectedly" and not as having crashed as the latter implies a software issue as opposed to an obvious hardware issue when described properly.

Having the correct info means that helpers will not be looking for a software issue when the problem is clearly hardware related.

What I shared about my PSU was all that is written on it, I don't know where else I could look for the info. There's also ''AC 220V/50HZ'' written on a red label on the back, underneath the PSU cable. That's all I got.

Well thanks for trying to help and have a good night.

I completely forgot to post the PSU, my apologies: it says Blueberry model: PS8450

Reason why we could not find anything on the PSU was because the info provided was not quite correct, we were looking for PS8450 when in fact it is PSB450, either way it is complete garbage and needs to be replaced, labelled as 450W when it cannot even produce 200W, see attachment below, this PSU is killing your computer, see specs here it doesn`t even mention any warranty period :(

Short version, you need a new PSU.
