Solved bootup

This isnt a problem. I have Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 on USB ISO to try only it,s not installed. My main OS is Windows 10, iam on WIFI since iam in a resthome, there,s several people on this WIFI, probably at least 30 to 50 people on it. In each hall there,s 2 WIFI pickups because the router is a good 75 feet away, this is all the info i have.

My question is this. When i boot to Linux. After the Linux Mint screen appears, i wait for for about 2 minutes, and i dont touch a thing. I do watch the clock for my, i guess bootup.
Is there anyway to get bootup time a little faster? Thank,s Chuck

If I could add to Jmarket's post, there could be several factors at play here. Usb2 will be slow to boot from at the best of times, could I suggest you build a new iso with something like Universal USB Installer HERE The advantage is you can add persistence to the iso that will allow for any updates or changes to the build to be kept on the iso, making contact with the net less frequent, hence saving some time . You could also get the latest version 18 of mint at the same time, which I have found faster from USB:).
