Booting issue fans spins than stops

First thing I would do, pull out the GPU and plug into integrated graphics. Unplug any unnecessary peripherals, extra monitors, gamepads, flash drives, etc. Your mouse, keyboard, and a single monitor should be the only devices plugged in.

Once you have done that, clear the CMOS, there are a few ways to do this.

First, turn off and unplug the computer tower.

Second, locate whether your specific motherboard has a Clear CMOS button or not.



If you refer to this picture, you can see CMOS_SW in the top right, and a set of two pins in the bottom right labeled "CLR_CMOS."

Since there are multiple revisions of this board, you will have to see which yours has or doesn't, if it doesn't, then you can use the provided connector or a flat-head screwdriver to short the CLR_CMOS pins.

Worst case you can pull the battery underneath the PCIEx8 slot for a couple minutes.

Q: How do I clear the CMOS values?
A: For motherboards that have a Clear CMOS button, press this button to clear the CMOS values (before doing this, please turn
off the computer and unplug the power cord). For motherboards that have a Clear CMOS jumper, refer to the instructions in
Chapter 1 to short the jumper to clear the CMOS values. If your board doesn't have this jumper/button, refer to the instructions
on the motherboard battery in Chapter 1. You can temporarily remove the battery from the battery holder to stop supplying
power to the CMOS, which will clear the CMOS values after about one minute.
