Bluetooth will not stay on.

My blue tooth will not stay turned on. I like o listen to my PC with a blue tooth headset and the blue tooth turns off. I have to run the blue tooth troubleshooter whenever I want to turn it on so my headset will be able to "hear" sounds. How do I keep it on son I do not have to keep opening windows to get to the troubleshooter and run it.

The time it is on varies from a few minutes to a few hours. Sometimes it will stay on through a PC shut down and sometimes it will go off. There is no rational solution. I have to run the troubleshooter to start it up and sometimes that takes multiple attempts. Win 10 says the driver is up to date, and I even tried deleting the driver and reloading it, without any improvement. It is like blue tooth will not turn on unless I manually do so, even though it is supposed to turn on when I boot up.

driver updates are part of Windows Updates, if one is required, and there is one for your make/model available, it will be automatically included.
for optional updates, see the list at: Start > Settings > Updates & Security > View optional updates and expand Driver Updates.

some more things to try....

reboot into Safe Mode and see if things change.
also create another user account and log in under that profile and see if that helps.
otherwise, then you can try a repair reinstall of Windows (keeping personal files) or a fresh install (keeping nothing).

if that sounds like a too big a hammer, than for the sake of $20'ish, ust get a USB Bluetooth dongle and disable the current one.

yeah, it's nice to know why, but sometimes you have to ask "is this the hill I want to die on?" :)
