What about a reboot of the router and first time set up.
Is there anything that could be interfering with the NICs signal, cordless telephone, microwave oven etc, how far away is the computer from the wireless router.
it would appear that this is a common HP problem with not much help from them when looking at threads around various forums.
The acid test for the computers NIC device would be to try connecting to a wireless network somewhere else, a pain in the proverbial to do with a desktop and that is why it has been left until last to do it, that and trying a clean install of Windows is about as much as I have left I`m afraid.
I wish that you had mentioned this soonerIt might also be worth mentioning that my phone and tablet connect to the router without issue.
